Two people, one workshop
We're Viktor and Evelina. We make furniture in our workshop in Wollongong on the New South Wales coast. You deal with us from the first message to the day it arrives at your door. And while it's being made, we'll send you photos so you can see it taking shape.

Viktor
Design & makingI make the furniture. Most of my time is spent in the workshop: cutting timber, making joints, sanding and oiling.
There's a lot of measuring, but just as much looking. Every timber has its own character, and I like working with it rather than against it.
Evelina
Studio & clientsI look after the other side of things: talking to you, helping with sizing and timber choices, and keeping things moving from enquiry to delivery.

We started Crafta to build the kind of furniture we wanted in our own home. We want to create pieces that will still be there in ten, twenty, thirty years, the ones that your kids will keep, and their kids after them.
What we believe
Materials matter
We work with Australian Blackwood, Tasmanian Oak, American Oak and Walnut. They all have a slightly different look and character, so choosing the right one can make quite a difference to the finished piece. You can see them all on our materials page.
Made slowly, on purpose
There is no production line here. Each piece is made to order, from choosing the timber through to the sanding, oiling and weaving. It takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on the size and complexity of the project, and we’ll send you photos along the way so you can see it coming together.
Made to be repaired
The timber can be re-oiled and repaired, and the cord can be re-woven if something happens to it. We like knowing that the pieces we make can be looked after and kept for a long time.

Our workshop is in Wollongong. It’s a working workshop rather than a showroom, but you’re welcome to come, have a look or just say hello if you’re nearby.
Each piece is made to order, so you can choose the timber, cord and finish.
